Personalities
Speaker:
Kenny Dean
Kenny Dean and his family have been a
part of the Fuego Family for the past 6 years. Under his speaking,
Fuego has seen hundreds of students come to know Jesus as their Lord
and Savior.
Kenny is a phenomenal communicator
with an insight that speaks to students and adults. He challenges
the heart with humor, wisdom and an authenticity that is
unparalleled.
Kenny previously served as Associate
Pastor of First Baptist Church in Bossier City, Louisiana and is now
the Group Life Director at the Bridge Fellowship in Houston, Texas.
Kenny was born in Mobile, Alabama. He
began dating his wife, Valerie,
in the first grade. “Okay, it was the ninth grade, but in Alabama
either is totally acceptable,” Kenny says.
They have three amazing kids, Kara
(8), Micah (5), and Zach (3). He’s a sucker for any “Based on a True
Story” movie … like, “A Bug’s Life.” He enjoys golf, Diet Coke,
sleeping, and jumping on the trampoline with his kids (but don’t
tell his insurance agent he has a trampoline!)
Worship Leader: Aaron Watson
Aaron has been a critical part of Fuego for the past 8 years.
We are so incredibly fortunate to have Aaron Watson to lead worship
for all weeks of Fuego. Not only is Aaron incredibly talented
musician, but he is more than just a worship leader. Aaron is a
“real” person. Not only is he a fantastic worship leader, but he can
also throw a football. In other words, Aaron is not the type that
leads worship and disappears...he is a guy that your kids will know.
Aaron and the band have a packed schedule each and every year
as they lead worship all across the country, but they are always
kind enough to save weeks for Fuego. You will love Aaron and the
band. Currently, Aaron and his wife Jenna base their ministry in
Dallas.
Comedy
Show: 321 Improv
321 Improv Comedy will bring tears to your eyes, a pain to
your side
and they’ll make your face ache with laughter! An evening with 321
Improv is unlike any you’ve been a part of before. It is a unique
interactive comedy experience. Each show, the three guys in 321
Improv instantly turn audience suggestions into hilarious scenes. No
two
shows are the same!
Leader to Adults: Johnny Derouen
Train your leadership while your students are at camp...AND
at no additional cost. Even if you were not bringing students to
Camp Fuego, it would be worth finding a leadership conference led by
Johnny Derouen. As we all know, time is a premium among our
volunteers, so Fuego solves this dilemma by combining camp for your
students with leadership training for your adults.
During Johnny’s 10 years at Houston’s First Baptist Church
and the next 10 at Travis Avenue in Fort Worth, he has accumulated a
wealth of insight, wisdom and knowledge in every aspect of Student
Ministry. He recently joined the staff at Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary as the Associate Professor of Youth Ministries.
Bring your top volunteers and be prepared to hear Johnny as
he leads our Adult Track, while he provides insight, resources and
ideas for student ministers and volunteers.
Illusionist: Danny Ray
Danny Ray has a passion to share God's transforming message
through mind-boggling illusions. As one of the world's premiere
illusionists, Danny Ray has amazed 1000's of audiences. Yet, the
"Danny Ray experience" is far more than entertainment - it is a
powerful presentation of the gospel.
Danny has become a favorite guest performer, speaker, and
entertainer for hundreds of ministries, churches and organizations
in the world. These include Youth Specialties, Hawaiian Island
Ministries, Lipscomb University, Costa Mesa Calvary Chapel, Spirit
West Coast, the WB (now the CW) and scores of others. ministry".
Danny lives in Southern California with his wife and three
amazing children (9, 7, and 3yrs. old).
Entertainer:
Dave The Horn Guy
Dave the Horn Guy is Dave Enns, a
musician’s musician and a guy with a
lot of horns.
His innovative spirit and musical
genius have led him to perform all over the country, from the Tonight
Show with Jay Leno to major sporting event half time shows and national
corporate events.
Enns holds multiple music degrees. At
34, his full time musical efforts have found him to be a Billboard
recognized songwriter, a studio musician, an orchestrater of over 200
songs, a regular giggin’ trombone/piano player, singer, and a
founder/producer of an award-winning urban acappella group. He’s
combined these experiences with 25 chromatically tuned bulb-horns,
custom made from a top-of-the-line German horn maker to create “Dave the
Horn Guy.”
Dave loves being the Horn Guy - “I can’t imagine not being
the Horn Guy. I love hyping up an audience. My music affords me the
opportunity to share my gift with the world.”
2 honks on how it all began…
Inspiration from an online video
clip… purpose for some comic relief in a church Christmas show… Dave
purchased 10 standard bicycle horns from the bike aisle (Wal-mart). He
cut them all in half, fussed with the reeds, found some vinyl tube
length (Home Depot), and made a scientific chart to achieve one major
scale…plus a few blue notes. Dave added some straps, zip ties, eyelets,
key rings, fasteners, hose clamps, and bands to hold the horns in place.
Arm pits, knee pits, neck pit, elbow pits, back, shins, chest, thighs,
and more. All ready to go, this honky put together a kickin’ version of
Jingle Bells that
provided an adrenaline rush of amazement and laughs.
It was at Dave’s previous job, as a church music director,
that he was provided the creative laboratory to make this happen. Dave
has sinced moved from California to Colorado with his wife and four kids
where he honks full time…. who would’ve thought?
