Personalities
Speaker: Travis Crim
Travis Crim explodes onto the
stage with excitement, energy and a genuine love for students. His
commitment to the Bible's authority and his ability to lock in the
attention of such a wide range of people groups (middle school
students to adults) makes him a great choice for any conference,
camp or retreat. Marrying Biblical truth with relevance to capture
the student culture of today, Travis’ communication style blends
humor and intensity with practical application for real life.
Travis’ initial speaking
opportunities came while playing football at The University of
Alabama. Between studying and football, he spent his summers working
at Christian sports and adventure camps and began speaking regularly
at youth groups and retreats around the Southeast.
Having worked relationally with
students for over fifteen years, Travis’ ministry experience
includes stints with The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus
Crusade for Christ, campus director at two high schools with Youth
for Christ and as student pastor with the local church. He speaks
extensively for Outback America, The JH Ranch and other ministries
around the country.
Currently Travis lives in Los
Angeles, CA with his wife Delaine and their three children;
daughters Ginsyn (13), Taegan (9) and their son Sylas (6 months). In
addition to acting and writing pursuits, his time in Los Angeles
involves outreach to people within the entertainment business and
strategically opening doors for Christian students who feel called
to this industry.
Worship Leader: David Gentiles
David
is a singer/songwriter/worship leader from the Dallas/Fort Worth
area and has been doing worship and performance events ranging
anywhere from: Youth camps, Student retreats, worship conferences
(speaking & leading worship), concerts, and various Christmas shows
for the last 10 years. He has also produced and recorded several
personal projects as well as a children's rock worship project
"Forever Friend" for Kids Beach Clubs out of Euless, Tx. He enjoys
most leading in worship and sharing stories through original songs
that God might use to draw someone to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
He loves dearly is sweet wife of 2.5 years, Emily. For more
information about David, go to

Leader to Adults: Johnny Derouen
Train your leadership while your students are at camp...AND
at no additional cost. Even if you were not bringing students to
Camp Fuego, it would be worth finding a leadership conference led by
Johnny Derouen. As we all know, time is a premium among our
volunteers, so Fuego solves this dilemma by combining camp for your
students with leadership training for your adults.
During Johnny’s 10 years at Houston’s First Baptist Church
and the next 10 at Travis Avenue in Fort Worth, he has accumulated a
wealth of insight, wisdom and knowledge in every aspect of Student
Ministry. He recently joined the staff at Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary as the Associate Professor of Youth Ministries.
Bring your top volunteers and be prepared to hear Johnny as
he leads our Adult Track, while he provides insight, resources and
ideas for student ministers and volunteers.
